Workman’s Recruitment is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Repairs Supervisor to lead a dynamic trades team within a medium-sized housing association.
You will oversee a team of multi-trade operatives responsible for reactive, planned, and void refurbishment maintenance in occupied domestic properties. These properties primarily house individuals with disabilities or learning difficulties, making strong communication skills and a calm, and a patient approach essential.
Location:
This role will require you to travel across the South Of England.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out trade work as needed, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, kitchen/bathroom fitting, and general maintenance.
Providing technical support and guidance to the multi-trade team.
Monitoring and ensuring job completion to the correct standard, on time, and within budget.
Logging and updating jobs via a PDA – traffic code system.
Managing staff schedules, authorizing holidays, and tracking sick leave.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager, HR, and Senior Management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Full UK Manual Driving License.
Confident IT and software systems
Being able to manage a team of trades staff
Previous experience in a maintenance or multi-trade role.
Experience in the social housing sector (preferred but not essential).
City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in a specific trade (preferred but not essential).
Salary & Benefits:
£38,500 per annum.
