Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
Workman’s Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded, long-established social housing contractor that has been trading for 80 years. They specialise in servicing long-term and unique planned capital works, cyclical decorations, major works, and retrofit schemes for some of the largest housing associations and councils.
You will take on a pivotal role within one of our contract teams, overseeing the financial elements of awarded contracts from the pre-contract tender stage through to the final account phase. Collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager, you will ensure the projects are managed with financial efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct price tender inquiries through on-site visits, including condition surveys, photographs, and measurements as needed
- Produce accurate monthly valuations and handle account management, ensuring timely submission of all variation records.
- Negotiate subcontractor rates, ensuring all necessary safety requirements are included
- Offer clients precise price estimates for additional works
- Support the completion of contract performance assessment sheets at the conclusion of each project.
Required Experience:
- Full Manual UK Driving License
- A recognized Quantity Surveying qualification
- Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in the construction industry
- Fully computer literate with proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and procurement processes
Salary & Benefits:
- Basic Salary: £50,000 per annum

Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 40 Hours Per-Week
