With expertise spanning building surveying, architectural design, project management, and health & safety, they provide trusted support to clients across education, retail, commercial property, and more.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their dynamic Nottingham team. You’ll work independently on a wide range of projects, while also benefiting from the support of a highly skilled consultancy team.
The Role
You’ll be a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate complex building challenges. From surveys and reports to managing programmes of work, you’ll play a hands-on role in improving building performance, client satisfaction, and long-term asset value.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed condition surveys and provide expert maintenance advice.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and technical drawings for refurbishment and capital projects.
- Manage contract administration including drafting standard forms and overseeing delivery.
- Oversee capital programmes across multiple sites, coordinating stakeholders and timelines.
- Act as the go-to advisor for clients, building strong and lasting relationships.
- Provide strategic problem-solving that enhances service delivery.
- Collaborate with architects and health & safety colleagues on integrated solutions.
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to professional development across the team.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and client records.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ building surveying consultancy experience.
- BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent/qualified by experience).
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property management and maintenance.
- Experience in the education sector (highly desirable).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent project coordination skills, able to meet deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated professional with a keen eye for detail.
Salary & Benefits
- £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
