We’re seeking an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality surveying services, managing projects from concept to completion, and developing a talented team. The Role

You’ll be a senior advisor to clients across a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll oversee project delivery, lead and mentor surveyors, and help drive business growth while ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on building maintenance, refurbishment, and capital works.
  • Lead and oversee condition surveys, reports, specifications, schedules of work, and drawings.
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with all professional and statutory requirements.
  • Take responsibility for programme, budget, and quality management across multiple projects.
  • Work closely with clients to shape briefs, budgets, and technical requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of surveyors.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring delivery against financial and project targets.
  • Troubleshoot technical and delivery challenges.
  • Build strong client relationships, with a focus on repeat and referral business.
  • Contribute to business development and strategic growth of the surveying division.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in building surveying.
  • BSc/MSc in Building Surveying or related discipline.
  • MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent chartered status.
  • Proven experience in line management and leadership.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver against financial targets.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
