We’re seeking an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality surveying services, managing projects from concept to completion, and developing a talented team. The Role
You’ll be a senior advisor to clients across a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll oversee project delivery, lead and mentor surveyors, and help drive business growth while ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on building maintenance, refurbishment, and capital works.
- Lead and oversee condition surveys, reports, specifications, schedules of work, and drawings.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with all professional and statutory requirements.
- Take responsibility for programme, budget, and quality management across multiple projects.
- Work closely with clients to shape briefs, budgets, and technical requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of surveyors.
- Monitor team performance, ensuring delivery against financial and project targets.
- Troubleshoot technical and delivery challenges.
- Build strong client relationships, with a focus on repeat and referral business.
- Contribute to business development and strategic growth of the surveying division.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in building surveying.
- BSc/MSc in Building Surveying or related discipline.
- MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent chartered status.
- Proven experience in line management and leadership.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver against financial targets.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving license.
